Urban Crusier -- a name inspired by the iconic Toyota Land Cruiser -- will be a sub-four meter SUV, sharing platform with the popular Vitara Brezza.
Earlier in 2019, Toyota-Maruti crossover gave birth to Glanza. The hatchback is based on the Baleno. Glanza is built on the heartech platform and is powered by K-series engine. Glanza is available in 1.2-litre petrol engine mated to CVT and manual transmissions as options.
Similarly, underpinnings from the Vitara Brezza are likely to be opted and blended to furnish the Urban Cruiser. Unlike the off-road expertise of Land Cruiser, the Urban Crusier is expected to be a straight and simple under-four metre SUV with practicality as priority.
Toyota Urban Cruiser on launch will take potshots at Hyundai Venue, Ford EcoSport and Mahindra XUV300.
