The sleeve is pressed into the bearing bore that abuts a fixed component. The sleeve is then located on the shaft by a nit or an end plate. For larger bearings, large forces are needed to overcome the friction of mating surfaces as the withdrawal sleeve is pressed on to the bearing bore.
