Kl¨¹ber Lubrication at the SMM 2016 in hall A3, stand 309
"Closer to you" is the motto, under which Kl¨¹ber Lubrication will be presenting its latest EALs (Environmentally Acceptable Lubricants) for ships and offshore installations at the SMM 2016. All the EALs offer high-performance capacity and reliability under extreme conditions. They comply with the requirements defined by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for the 2013 Vessel General Permit and by current environmental standards.
"Kl¨¹ber Lubrication offers a complete range of EALs for all relevant applications on board a ship", explains Dirk Fabry, Business Development Manager for Marine at Kl¨¹ber Lubrication. The development of our eco-friendly speciality lubricants made for the extreme conditions prevailing at sea benefits substantially from the vast level of experience of the tribology experts at Kl¨¹ber Lubrication. As a result, they create powerful products contributing to less impact on the environment as well as longer maintenance intervals and component lifetimes."
The focus this year is on the readily biodegradable high-performance gear oils Kl¨¹berbio EG 2, which offer a high load-carrying capacity, shear stability and compatibility with seals, thus ensuring reliable operation of gears, thrusters and bearings. Kl¨¹berbio EG 2 oils are approved by well-known manufacturers of propeller shaft seals and thrusters. In addition, they comply with the EU Ecolabel requirements.
The new, environmentally sound high-performance lubricants Kl¨¹berbio LG 39-700 N and Kl¨¹berbio LG 39-701 N, which contain a base oil made from 100 % renewable raw materials, reliably protect open drives from wear, even at very low temperatures These EALs also meet requirements for OSPAR conformance, including Norway Yellow 1.
Excellent performance, also under extreme operating conditions, is what the ecocompatible multi-purpose grease Kl¨¹berbio BM 32-142 provides to rolling and plain bearings. Special additives reduce wear, protect against corrosion and enable smooth operation of highly loaded bearings even at extremely low temperatures.
At the SMM 2016 in hall A3, stand 309, the experts from Kl¨¹ber Lubrication will be pleased to answer all questions visitors may have regarding the subject of tribology at the high seas.
