New highly efficient lubricants especially developed for weatherstrips, guideways and plastics
Undesired noises and vibrations inside cars pose a consistent challenge to automakers, especially when new models are being launched. With a new series of highly efficient sliding fluids Kl¨¹ber Lubrication now puts an end to undesirable squeaking noises. The universal sliding fluids of the Kl¨¹beralfa MR 3 series were especially developed for NVH requirements combined with for-life lubrication of seals, guideways and plastics. They are resistant to evaporation and form a film ensuring optimum lubricant supply to the friction points over a long time.
"Annoying noises are today no more acceptable to drivers and passengers of modern cars than stiff seat adjustment mechanisms or sunroofs getting stuck," explains Frank Werner, Head of Business Unit Automotive Industry at Kl¨¹ber Lubrication. "Our new Kl¨¹beralfa MR 3 sliding fluids not only reduce noise and optimise friction - they are also a low-cost and low-weight alternative to products such as adhesive films or tapes, which are today most widely used to reduce unwanted noise."
Not only are the new universal sliding fluids of the Kl¨¹beralfa MR 3 series higly compatible with most thermoplastics and thermosetting plastics, but they can also be recommended for friction bodies made of leather, textiles or plastics. With the use of a propellant-free pump-spray dispenser, the sliding fluids can be applied economically and safely. The new series is available in three different viscosities, i.e. as Kl¨¹beralfa MR 3, MR 3-500 and MR 3-800. It enables safe application without combustible or flammable solvent vapours or gases. Fields of application include decorative dashboard components, slideways in opening mechanisms inside cars, guideways of centre console covers, door and sunroof seals as well as elastomer bearings in the chassis.
