Vestas is to supply 54 V117 3.3MW turbines for Capital Power¡¯s 178MW Bloom wind farm in Kansas.
Manufacturing and shipment of the units is expected this year, with commissioning scheduled for the first and second quarter of 2017.
The deal also includes a five-year active output management 5000 service agreement.
Capital Power president and chief executive officer Brian Vaasjo said: ¡°We are pleased to build on our long-standing relationship with Vestas and to expand our growing wind portfolio into Kansas.
